The Neck

This location is most popular because it provides the opportunity to see many species of wildlife all at one place. The wildlife can include, but is not limited to, King, Gentoo, Rockhopper, and Magellanic penguins, a Black-browed Albatross colony, elephant seals, sea lions, dolphins, the inquisitive Johnny Rooks and other birds of prey, and Southern Giant Petrels. The accommodation is a refurbished military portakabin and has 2 rooms with 2 bunkbeds each, 24-hour power, refrigerator, cooker, microwave, and bathroom with shower. A WIFI hotspot has also been added. Camping is also an option. Please note, in an effort to protect the wildlife, flying drones are absolutely prohibited at the Neck and surrounding area. Access to the store in the settlement to purchase food and ready made frozen meals to take with you is available.

The Rookery

Also a popular location to stay, the Rookery cabin is walking distance away from Rockhopper, Gentoo, and Magellanic penguin, Black-browed Albatross, and Cormorant colonies. You will also often see whales blowing off shore. ​The accomodation has 2 twin rooms, 24-hour power, refridgerator, cooker, microwave, and bathroom with shower. Please note, in an effort to protect the wildlife, flying drones are absolutely prohibited at the Rookery and surrounding area. Access to the store in the settlement to purchase food and ready made frozen meals to take with you is available.

The Settlement

Stay with us at the Settlement. Refurbished bunkhouse that has 5 rooms (1 double, 1 single, 2 twin, and 1 triple), a full kitchen, 24-hour electricity, satellite TV, and a WIFI hotspot. Even if the Neck and Rookery are filled, we can still provide day-trips to these locations. You are also within walking distance to the original British settlement. Access to the store in the settlement to purchase food and ready made frozen meals to take with you is available.
